Getting There

Koh Hong is only accessible by boat, there's no public ferry service. All visitors arrive via an organised tour from Krabi or Ao Nang. Here's how the logistics work.

Getting to Koh Hong from Krabi

From Krabi Town

The main departure point for Koh Hong tours is Klong Jiilad Pier in Krabi Town. Most tours depart between 07:00 and 08:30. The journey takes around 30 minutes by speedboat or 50 minutes by longtail. If you're staying in Krabi Town, hotel pickup is included on all our tours.

From Ao Nang

Ao Nang is slightly closer to the islands. Our tours include pickup from Ao Nang hotels and most guesthouses. Departure is typically 07:30. The speedboat from Ao Nang takes about 20 minutes. By longtail it’s around 40 minutes.

From Phuket

We offer a dedicated Phuket day trip that includes a minivan transfer from your Phuket hotel to Krabi pier and back. Early start required, usually 05:30, but the islands are very much worth it.

Can I Get There Independently?

No. The islands are inside a national park and all boats require a licence to enter the area. You must join an organised tour, you cannot hire a private longboat independently and sail there yourself.
