This was an amazing tour! Very long day but well worth it!! The weather gods turned it on which was lucky.. All our stops were simply breathtaking.. Phi Phi islands, Maya Bay, Bamboo island. We had perfect amount of times spent at each.. the waters were crystal clear and a great temperature. Lovely buffet lunch. Definitely swim and snorkel! Then we went onto the afternoon sunset tour on Poda Island which was stunning.. BBQ dinner and sat on the beach for the sunset! Lastly swimming with the bioluminescent plankton which was very cool to see! What a day and it’s great value for money! Highly recommend:) Tour guide Nadia was very funny and she was awesome. Ming was also very cool and helpful! Thank you!!

Fantastic Hong Islands trip on the speedboat—fast, smooth, and well-organized Rating: 5 / 5 Stars (or your preferred rating) Pros: Speedboat Advantage: Taking the speedboat got us out to the Hong Islands quickly and comfortably, leaving plenty of time on the beach and in the water instead of wasting time in transit. Incredible Scenery: Hong Island, the emerald lagoon, and the surrounding limestone karst islands are stunning. The 360° viewpoint climb is a workout, but the panoramic views at the top are worth every step. Great Tour Crew: The Krabi Sunset Tours team was well-organized, friendly, and kept everything moving smoothly from hotel pickup to drop-off. Beating the Morning Crowds: The schedule worked out great for enjoying the beaches without the heavy peak-morning crowds. Cons: Steep Steps to Viewpoint: The climb to the 360° viewpoint is hot and steep, so proper shoes/sandals (not flimsy flip-flops) are recommended. Summary: A top-notch island tour in Krabi. The speedboat makes the journey effortless, the sights are world-class, and Krabi Sunset Tours delivered a seamless, memorable day. Highly recommended!

Outstanding experience. Went on a traditional boat tour to hong island and we ended up with a fantastic guide and only 2 others on our boat. Only thing you could „complain“ about is that there will be other boats from other company’s too and it might get crowded.

Our tours all depart from Nopparat Thara Pier, just west of Ao Nang, and hotel pickup from Krabi Town is included, so you do not need to make your own way to the pier. Most tours depart between 07:00 and 08:30. The journey takes around 30 minutes by speedboat or 50 minutes by longtail. If you're staying in Krabi Town, hotel pickup is included on all our tours.
Ao Nang is slightly closer to the islands. Our tours include pickup from Ao Nang hotels and most guesthouses. Departure is typically 07:30. The speedboat from Ao Nang takes about 20 minutes. By longtail it’s around 40 minutes.
We do not run a departure from Phuket. Phuket to Ao Nang is around three hours each way by road, which makes a same-day return a very long day. If you are based in Phuket, the realistic options are a shared minivan or a private transfer to Ao Nang the day before, or a Phang Nga Bay trip from Phuket instead. Once you are in Krabi, our hotel pickup covers the Ao Nang and Krabi Town areas.
No. The islands are inside a national park and all boats require a licence to enter the area. You must join an organised tour, you cannot hire a private longboat independently and sail there yourself.
Nopparat Thara Pier, just west of Ao Nang. Hotel pickup is included from Ao Nang, Nopparat Thara, Krabi Town, Klong Muang, Tub Kaek and Railay, so for most guests the pier is simply where the minibus stops.
No. The islands are inside Than Bok Khorani National Park and boats need a licence to operate there, so there is no public ferry and no way to hire a boat and take yourself. Every visitor arrives on an organised tour.
About 20 minutes by speedboat and about 40 minutes by longtail from Nopparat Thara. The longtail crossing is slower on purpose and a lot of guests count it as part of the day rather than travel time.
From about 07:30 for Krabi Town, Klong Muang and Tub Kaek, and around 08:00 for Ao Nang and Nopparat Thara, on the morning tours. Railay guests join by boat at the pier. Your exact time is confirmed the evening before, because it moves with the tide.
Not with us: we have no Phuket departure. Phuket to Ao Nang is roughly three hours each way by road, so a same-day return means a very long day. Most people staying in Phuket either move to Krabi for a night or take a Phang Nga Bay trip from Phuket instead.
Krabi International Airport is about 40 minutes from Ao Nang by road. Shared minibuses, airport taxis and private transfers all run the route, and most Ao Nang hotels will arrange a transfer if you ask when you book the room.
