Practical Details
The speedboat is the right choice if you want speed, comfort, and the option to fit a larger group on a single boat. Compared to the private longtail, the per-person cost is about 2.5 times higher for small groups, but it drops fast as you add people. Groups of 10 or more get genuinely good per-person value.
Maximum capacity is 60 persons split across the larger boats. Pregnant guests are not permitted on the speedboat due to the bumpy ride. Free cancellation up to 24 hours before the tour starts.
Frequently Asked Questions
Should I book the private speedboat or the private longtail?
Longtail if your group is 1 to 7 people: it's much cheaper (5,290 to 6,290 THB versus 12,995 THB on the speedboat) and the experience is more atmospheric and Thai. Speedboat if your group is 8 or more: per-person costs become competitive, you save 20 minutes each way on transfers, and the boat is more comfortable. Speedboat is also better if anyone in your group is prone to seasickness on slower boats.
How does the per-boat pricing work?
You pay one price for the whole boat, not per person. The boat size you need depends on the number of people: 1 to 10 fits on a single small-engine boat, 11 to 15 needs a 2-engine setup, larger groups need bigger boats. We pick the right size for your group when you book.
Can we customise the itinerary?
Yes. Tell the captain what you want more or less of, and the boat schedule adjusts on the water. Common requests: an early start, extra time at the lagoon, skipping a stop, a later return.
Is lunch included?
No, lunch is optional. You can pre-order a Thai-style lunch box for 100 THB per person, eat at the restaurant on Hong Island (around 200 to 400 THB per person), or bring your own. Fresh fruits, drinking water and an ice box are already on the boat.
Is it suitable for kids?
Yes for ages 4 and up. The Hong Islands are close (about 20 minutes by speedboat), the water at most stops is shallow and calm, and the day is short enough not to wear them out. Pregnant guests are not permitted.
Can we pick up from Railay?
Yes, for an extra 1,000 THB. Pickup is from the Railay floating pier on the east side. Drop-off goes back to the same pier at the end of the day.
Do I pay a deposit?
Yes, all private tours require a deposit to confirm the booking. We send a secure payment link by email after you submit the booking form. The remaining balance is paid in cash on the day. Free cancellation up to 24 hours before, with the deposit refunded or transferred to a future date.
