Practical Details
This is a long day. You're on the water for nearly 9 hours, so be ready for sun, salt, and a fast pace. Wear reef-safe sunscreen, a hat or rash guard, and bring a refillable water bottle. The boat is a speedboat, so the ride is quick but bumpy in places. Maximum group size is 45 people.
The viewpoint climb on Hong Island is 400 steep steps. It is optional and not suitable for very young children, elderly guests, or anyone with knee or balance issues. Pregnant guests are not permitted on the speedboat. Free cancellation up to 24 hours before the tour starts.

Is this better value than doing the two tours separately?
Yes, significantly. Doing the Hong Islands tour and the 4 Islands tour as separate days would cost roughly 4,000 to 4,500 THB for one adult, plus two days of hotel pickups, two lunches, and two days off your itinerary. This combo gets the same nine islands for 2,990 THB in one day, with park fees included.
Is it too long for kids?
It's a long day but most kids over 6 manage fine. Younger kids (4 to 5) tend to wear out by mid afternoon. If you're travelling with a young child and only have one day, the standard Hong Islands tour (7 hours, fewer stops, more time per stop) is the better fit. If your child has the stamina, this is a much bigger adventure.
What's the difference between the morning and afternoon halves?
The morning is the Hong Islands: limestone cliffs, the hidden lagoon, the viewpoint, and quieter beaches. The afternoon is the 4 Islands: bigger beaches, the famous sandbar at Talay Waek, and Poda. The morning is more dramatic scenery, the afternoon has more swimming and beach time.
Is the viewpoint climb included?
The climb itself is free if you choose to do it. It is 400 steep steps to a platform with a 360 view of the lagoon and the beach. It takes about 20 to 25 minutes up. Wear shoes with grip and bring water. You can skip it and stay on the beach instead.
What's lunch like?
Thai buffet on Pakbia Island around 11:30: green curry, pad Thai, fried rice, stir-fried vegetables, chicken, fruit. Vegetarian and halal options available on request. Light snacks are served at Poda Island in the afternoon.
What if it rains?
The speedboat runs in light rain as long as the sea is safe. If conditions force a cancellation, the tour is rescheduled or your deposit is refunded. The combo tour is most reliable November to April.
Are park fees really included?
Yes. The 300 THB per adult and 150 THB per child national park fees are already in the price. Most other tours leave you to pay them in cash on arrival. This one doesn't.
