Things to Do
Koh Hong might be the most photogenic destination in Krabi. Limestone cliffs reflected in still water, sea caves with shafts of light, and a hidden lagoon that looks like something out of a film set.

The lagoon entrance: Stand in the water and look back toward the gap in the cliffs. The blue-green water framed by dark rock makes an exceptional shot, especially in the morning light.
From inside the lagoon: Look upward. The vertical cliff walls around the lagoon, with the sky visible above, is the shot most people come for. Best light is mid-morning when the sun is overhead.
Koh Lading reef: An underwater camera or GoPro will serve you well here. The soft coral is colourful enough to photograph with a basic waterproof camera.
Approach from the boat: As you approach Koh Hong from the sea, the limestone silhouette against the sky makes a strong wide-angle shot. Have your camera ready before you land.
