Across those four hours on the water you visit Hong Lagoon, Hong Island, Lao Lading and Pakbia, with the option to add Rai Island depending on the tide and the sea conditions. You get the white sand beaches, the limestone cliffs, and the optional climb to the 419-step viewpoint on Hong Island for those who want to see the sunset from up high. Around 18:00 to 18:30 the boat anchors at one of the beaches for sunset. If you've added the BBQ dinner option (200 THB per person), the captain serves a Thai-style barbecue on the sand: grilled meat or seafood, rice, salad, fruit. Without the BBQ, you can bring your own snacks or just enjoy the sunset on the beach with the fresh fruit and water that's already on the boat. After dark, when conditions allow, the captain takes you to a calm bay near Ao Nang for a swim with the glowing plankton. The bay is shallow and protected. The plankton are tiny organisms that glow blue-green when you move through the water, so jumping in and splashing around creates trails of light around your hands. The effect is at its strongest on new moon nights when the sky is fully dark and during the warm months from April to October. The boat returns to Nopparat Thara Pier around 19:00 and you're back at your hotel by 20:00.
