Hong Island Sunset Tour with Plankton Swim

The tour starts with a pickup from your hotel and heads to Nopparat Thara Pier. From there, you choose your boat: a traditional longtail (around 40 minutes to the islands) or a speedboat (about 20 minutes). Both options visit the same stops, but the longtail gives you a more immersive, classic experience while the speedboat covers more ground in less time. Across the afternoon, you'll visit Hong Island with its emerald lagoon and clifftop viewpoint, Hong Lagoon (entered through a narrow passage between rock walls), and Lao Lading Island with its famous tree-filled beach and swing. Depending on the tide, dinner is served at either Lao Lading or Pakbia Island, where you'll enjoy a Thai-style BBQ on the beach as the sky turns orange and pink. When the light fades, the boat heads toward Ao Nang for the plankton swim. Swimming with bioluminescent plankton is one of those experiences that's hard to describe until you're in the water. Every movement creates a burst of glowing blue light. It feels like swimming through stars. The plankton is completely harmless and only available in certain tidal and seasonal conditions, so it's not guaranteed every night, but it's included in the tour when conditions allow.
